Station Stop Art Party @ T.B. Hanna Station

The Raymore Arts Commission will host the second annual Station Stop Art Party from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 1, at T.B. Hanna Station. The free event features hands-on art activities for children ages 3 to 10 and their families. While activities are designed for that age group, children of all ages are welcome. Parents are encouraged to help at the activity stations.

As part of the event, Raymore author Phyllis Harris will meet visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. Harris recently released Claude, an art-inspired picture book that complements the festival’s creative theme. Young readers, aspiring authors and budding artists can visit with Harris, ask questions about her work and learn about the creative process. The Raymore Arts Commission will also raffle off several copies of Claude.
