“I cannot wait until it’s done.”

“Molle is willing to work with students to finish their schooling while they’re working in their dealership and that’s key,” says Jack Ireland, Johnson County Community College (JCCC) Faculty Chair of Automotive Technology. “Molle has really embraced the idea of growing their own.”

Made fresh every morning, the shop offers breakfast items including kolaches, donuts, biscuits and gravy, and sandwiches.

“I appreciate the support from everybody,” says Haberstroh. “When you’re a new face in a place that’s been established for a long time, it can be a little scary. I really love this place. It’s my second home. I bartend, I work in the kitchen, I serve…whatever’s needed – I do every roll.”

Award-winning chef, Mary Kay Bader, brings locally sourced, seasonally changing menu to Simply Grand Kitchen & Creamery.

“Grandview just needs more ‘not fast-food’ food options,” says Bader. “I want to create simple dishes that are done elegantly.

“I remember days turning plumb dark because of the dust.”
