
Learn the Art of playing a Dulcimer and Stay for the Concert
The 21st Annual Dulcimer Workshop and concert will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17 at John Knox Presbyterian Kirk, 11430 Wornall Rd. The instructors’ concert will be held at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
Linda Thomas, who plays the Hammered Dulcimer, and Elaine and Larry Conger, who play the Mountain Dulcimer, will teach advanced, advanced beginner and intermediate level performers. The Congers are from Paris, Tenn. and are involved in Dulcimer U at Western Carolina University in South Carolina.
Thomas, who has written many dulcimer instruction manuals, is from Kansas City.
