AIS responded to meet metro police department in regard to a two vehicle collision. A black VW Passat was traveling north on Ward Parkway. As the driver approached West 67th Terrace, a white GMC Terrain that had been stopped at the stop sign, facing westbound, pulled out into the intersection. The driver of the VW was unable to stop and struck the GMC. The GMC flipped over and hit a light pole. The rear passenger of the GMC was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The driver and front passenger of the GMC were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The driver and passenger in the VW were not injured in the collision.
