A free COVID-19 vaccination clinic that will provide pediatric vaccine for children 5 through 11 years of age as well as all three of the regular vaccines and booster shots will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 4, at Smith-Hale Middle School, 9010A Old Santa Fe. Rd.
The pediatric vaccine is one-third the dosage given to youth older than 11 and adults. Two shots of the vaccine given at least three weeks apart are necessary for maximum protection.
The Kansas City Health Department clinic will offer all three types of COVID-19 vaccines for those 12 and over as well as booster shots, and flu shots also will be provided.
Parents or guardians must accompany their minor children getting vaccinated and present a photo ID.
