The Grandview Chamber of Commerce awarded several businesses and residents on October 23 at its Second Annual Grandys Awards dinner held at the Armocost Museum.
Nominees and winners were chosen by the public for Business of the year, Non-profit of the Year, Community Champions and Excellence in Leadership.
The winners are:
- Business of the Year – Wingz & More
- Non-profit of the Year – Grandview Assistance Program
- Community Champion – Cindy Bastian, outgoing Grandview Education Foundation President
- Excellence in Leadership – Megan O’Malley, GAP Community Support Case Manager
- Social Champion – Marcom-Harvey Funeral Home
- Chamber Champion – Thomas Rousey, City Alderman
- Most Valuable Volunteer – Nanette Middleton, Grandview Chamber
The Chamber introduced a new Legacy award in honor of former City Alderman Jim Crain, who passed away on September 13 at the age of 79. Crain served as a Grandview Alderman for 40 years and was actively involved with the Grandview Parks and Recreation Commission, the Grandview Assistance Program, and the Youth Court Treasurer.
