Kansas City Fire Department companies were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 7500 block of Locust at 1:11 p.m.
The first arriving company reported “smoke showing” from the second floor of a 2-story house and initiated an offensive fire attack. Two hose lines were advanced into the structure to extinguish the fire, which was placed under control at 1:27 p.m. Searches of the house came back “all clear”.
Red Cross was requested to assist with two adults and a dog.
Dangerous Buildings and City Planning have been requested to the scene.
The cause of the fire will be under investigation by KCFD.
No injuries have been reported from this incident.
