Lights On KC
Lights On KC, a community violence prevention program that provides safe recreational activities for youth and young adults is resuming its activities after a pause during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic with a free outdoor event for middle school youth from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 29, at St. Regis Catholic Church, 8941 James A. Reed Rd.
The event will include free food and giveaways, board games, basketball, kickball, soccer, volleyball and a bounce house. In case of rain, activities will be moved inside.
Registration and parental authorization is required for youth to participate. Interested persons should email Concernedclergykc@gmail.com or call 816-497-4886.
Lights On KC is a program of the Hickman Mills Community Alliance that is supported by several other community organizations. Monthly activities on Friday evenings are scheduled throughout the rest of the year at different venues in south Kansas City for different age groups of youth and young adults.
