UPDATE: Just after 10pm, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Just before 6:30pm, officers were called to the 9400 block of Cleveland Avenue in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a victim in the parking lot who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital. Information was given to responding officers the suspect is still inside an apartment at the location.
Officers have called a police standoff in order to bring tactical resources to the scene as well as negotiators.
The victim is currently listed in stable condition.
Please avoid the area. It is not safe.
