At 10:25 this morning, ambulances responded to meet South Patrol officers on a two-vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation revealed that a black Chrysler 300 and a silver Dodge Charger were street racing Southbound on Wornall from 99th St at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a silver Honda HRV was making a left turn onto Carondolet from Wornall. The Chrysler struck the Honda. The driver and passenger of the Honda were both pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chrysler was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This is fatality # 96 and #97 compared to #101 from last year.
