Kansas City Fire Department reports crews responded to a reported house fire in the 8000 block of E. 103rd Terrace at 03:40 am Friday.
Crews reported heavy fire and smoke from a single-story occupied home on arrival.
Interior operations were initiated using three handlines. Crews encountered heavy fire on the main floor and in the basement.
Searches of the structure came back all clear. The occupant was not home at the time.
The fire is currently under control, and no injuries have been reported.

Dangerous buildings and City planning have been requested to the scene. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but under investigation by KCFD.
On Tuesday, a nearby house on the 7800 block of E. 103rd Terrace also caught fire.
