By Jill Draper
The Somerset Wine & Cider Bar opens to the public on Saturday, May 5 at Rosehill Gardens in Martin City. Customers can relax in the gardens’ newly renovated outdoor courtyard and purchase locally grown and made wine and hard cider from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Singer-songwriter Zack Mufasa will play live music from 5 to 8 p.m.

The wine and cider bar will be open again on Sunday, May 6 from noon to 5 p.m. with Jayson Kayne playing live music from 1-4 p.m.

The Somerset Wine & Cider Bar is a new venture for Cindy and Dennis Reynolds, who own Somerset Ridge Vineyard and Winery in Paola. The bar will continue with these same hours for the remainder of May, and also will be open on Fridays from noon to 8
p.m. with happy hour music between 4 and 7 p.m.
Wine and cider will be sold by the glass or the bottle, and additional events such as tastings will be scheduled later in the summer. For more information, see somersetridge.com.
