South Kansas City Alliance Awards Breakfast
By John Sharp
Approximately 100 nominations of neighborhood and community volunteers, government employees, businesses, nonprofit organizations and educational programs were submitted by the deadline for the 3rd annual South Kansas City Alliance (SKCA) awards program for their significant contributions to improve south Kansas City.
The awards will be presented at a 7:30 a.m. breakfast Thursday, August 23, at the Avila University Athletic Pavilion. Tickets for the breakfast are $25, and tables for eight are only $180.
Tickets and tables may be purchased online on the SKCA website www.SouthKCAlliance.org. Checks to SKCA with the names of the attendees may be mailed to SKCA Treasurer Deborah Washam, 9409 Grandview Rd., KCMO 64132.
With so many nominations the event may be a sellout.
