
Award to Holliday
South Kansas City resident and community leader Dr. Gayle Holliday received the Trailblazer Award from the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) on Thursday, August 30, at its 6th annual Rosa Parks Spirit Awards event.
Holliday, the owner of G&H Consulting and a member of the leadership team of the political organization Freedom, Inc., is an advisor to the KCATA on its programs to enhance the opportunities for firms owned by women, minorities and disadvantaged persons to do business with it.
City Councilperson Jolie Justus received the Champion of Transit Award. Joe Reardon, former KCK Mayor and President and CEO of the KCATA and current President and CEO of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, received the RideKC Award. William George, President of the Kansas City Transportation Group, received the Business Partner Award. Mokhtee Ahmad, Region 7 Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, received the Special Recognition Award.
