On 8/17/2023 just after 12:30 am, officers were dispatched to 11600 block of Richmond Ave on a reported sound of shots, while enroute the call was upgraded to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a teen juvenile male lying in the parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and declared the victim deceased. The teen juvenile was identified as Tywonn S. Greene, age 15 years.
There is a subject of interest in custody, detectives are not seeking any other subjects in regards. The circumstances surrounding the homicide are unknown at this time.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene. They will be processing the scene to recover any evidence and speaking to any potential witnesses.

There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information provided to TIPS which leads to an arrest in the case.
Police are committed to assisting victims of violent crimes through use of Missouri’s Protection Program for Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime. Funding for temporary, or even permanent relocation, may be available but is subject to pre-approval by the State’s administering agency.
Police are working with Partners for Peace in all our homicide investigations to monitor risks for retaliation and provide social services to affected residents
