After a brief shut down due to a lifeguard shortage, The Bay Waterpark has reopened as of June 17th. This is good news for those wanting an escape from the 100 degree weather.
Even better news is the word of a free swim day on Saturday, June 18th.
Swimming in two pools and the use other open attractions will be free from noon to 6:30 p.m. at The Bay Water Park, 7101 Longview Rd.
The Free Day at The Bay is sponsored by the Southern Communities Coalition, Hickman Mills United Neighborhoods and several area homes associations.
Food trucks and games also will be available near the free event.
