South KC Perspective
Living History
Trailside Center at 9901 Holmes Rd. is now in its 10th year hosting a veterans living history series, and the monthly presentations are usually well attended by veterans.
However, Gary Swanson who organizes the presentations recently noted that many veterans who faithfully attend have never had the opportunity to tell their own stories.
So at the 7 p.m. presentation Thursday, August 16, every veteran in attendance will get four minutes to tell of his or her service and whatever they wish to share about it. The public is invited to attend the free presentations, and refreshments are provided.
