Kingswood Senior Living is hosting a special event on the First 100 Years of the Czechoslovak Republic; 1918-2018 on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 7:15 p.m in Westminster Hall. The presentation will be provided by Mrs. Sharon Valasek, Honorary Consul for the Czech Republic; Mr. Ross Marine, Honorary Consul for the Slovak Republic; and Mr. Stan Salva, President of the Czeck and Slovak Club of Kansas City.
The presentation will be a discussion focused on the development and major events in the turbulent life of the two countries which began as one at the conclusion of World War I. After a peaceful separation they are two nations with a long, rich history with many messages relevant today.
