KCMO Mayor Pro Tem & 5th District City Councilmember Ryana Parks-Shaw is hosting her 6th annual Operation Backpack giveaway of backpacks and numerous other school supplies for students who are KCMO residents from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 2, while supplies last at Swope Park.
Persons should enter the park at 67th & Swope Parkway.
The giveaway will include books, computers & tablets as well as backpacks and other school supplies. It also will include feminine hygiene products.
The event is being sponsored in partnership with Giving Hope & Help. It is open to KCMO residents.
