At 12:25 pm, the Kansas City Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 7700 block of E. 113th Street.
Crews reported heavy smoke from a single-story residence on arrival. Interior operations were initiated using one handline.
Searches of the structure came back all clear. The occupants were able to self-evacuate.
KCFD contained the fire to the kitchen. No injuries were reported at this incident. Redcross has been ordered for two adults and one infant. The cause of the fire is under investigation by KCFD.
