Hazardous Waste
The Kansas City Water Department is reminding KCMO residents who are doing their spring cleaning that they can take household hazardous waste at no cost to its drop-off location at 4707 Deramus.
Its hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Accepted items are: automotive products, antifreeze, batteries, CFL light bulbs, fertilizer, fuel, hazardous liquids, household cleaners, paint, pesticides, solvents, thinners and used oil.
