A Grandview man has died from his injuries after a shooting in the Loma Vista neighborhood, according to KCPD.

Officers were dispatched to the 8000 block of E. 88th Terrace at 3:45 p.m. on Monday following reports of gunshots and an injured person outside an apartment building.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim with gunshot injury. EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Officers also detained one subject of interest for further investigation at the scene. Detectives and crime scene investigators who responded to the scene also began processing evidence and talking with people who were at the scene when officers arrived.
On Monday evening, detectives were notified the victim died from his injuries. Homicide detectives have now responded to the scene and taken over the investigation. Detectives continue to work with crime scene investigators to process the scene inside an apartment, where detectives believe the shooting might have occurred.
On Tuesday morning, the victim was identified as 28-year-old Tajre Bass-Hill, whose address is listed in Grandview.
If anyone who was in the Loma Vista area has any information and has not yet talked to police, they are asked to contact homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.
KCPD can assist victims of violent crimes through use of Missouri’s Protection Program for Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime. Funding for temporary, or even permanent relocation, may be available but is subject to pre-approval by the State’s administering agency.
