Municipal Engineer Nick Bosonetto will be at the Blue Ridge Library community room, 9253 Blue Ridge Blvd, at 6 pm on July 29 to discuss the widening of 99th Street from Blue Ridge Boulevard east to James A. Reed Road. All interested parties are invited to attend.
The Bannister Acres neighborhood is still struggling with the narrow 56-year-old street and is calling for it to be widened to prevent more serious or fatal accidents from occurring and to reduce crumbling along the edges of the street.
President of the Bannister Acres Neighborhood Association Margie Haugh will also be presenting a request at the Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) hearing on August 13 funding for the design phase of widening 99th Street.
