Exhibit Memorializes the Fallen from the Current War on Terror
In honor of 9/11, the traveling photographic war memorial Remembering Our Fallen will be on display at St. Peter’s and All Saints Episcopal Church, 100 E. Red Bridge Rd., from Friday, September 7 to Sunday, September 9. Kansas and Missouri memorials will be represented.
Because 9/11 was such a defining moment, the memorial includes the country’s Fallen since that tragic day to the present. Some of the Fallen include those who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Unlike brick and mortar memorials, Remembering Our Fallen is designed to travel and includes both military and personal photos. Its legacy will be that these men and women will be remembered and their names will be spoken, while helping to lessen the grief of their families.
The exhibit had appeared in May at Union Station.
The memorial is open to the public, The hours to visit are 10 am to 9 pm on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call (816) 942-1066
