Ethnic Festival
The city’s 39th annual Ethnic Enrichment Festival, one of the largest in the country, will run from Friday, August 17, through Sunday, August 19, near the front entrance to Swope Park at Meyer Blvd. and Swope Pkwy.
The Festival features more than 60 different cultures selling their native foods and crafts and performing ethnic music and dances. Adult admission is just $5, and children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult. Parking also is free.
Besides the food and craft booths and performances there will be a beer garden and a free kids playground and shelter. Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
