This year eight students will be participating in a new pilot program called the Prep-KC Cerner partnership. Students interested in pursuing careers in STEM will attend half day at the Cerner campus. During their first semester they will receive college credit (at no cost to the student) in a Coding course. They will also learn more about different careers in STEM, project based learning, and how to work in a professional environment. During the second semester, students are eligible to apply for an internship at Cerner where they will be partnered with a project manager and work directly with Cerner employees.
