Kansas City voters will vote on three separate bond issues for basic infrastructure improvements totaling $800 million in the April 4 election.

The proposed Red Bridge Area Plan that will serve as a guide for future land use and zoning decisions as well as for public infrastructure improvements is scheduled to be considered by the City Plan Commission on February 7.

The city appears to be continuing to move toward submitting three different bond issues for voter approval on the April 4 ballot since a recent phone poll asked voters how they would likely vote on all three issues.

Dine out, Do good. That might be the best way to describe Kansas City Restaurant Week, starting January 13 and running through January 22. Over 140 restaurants, offering cuisines from American to Vietnamese, are participating this year.

There’s a reason Kansas City leads the nation in business growth and south Kansas City is a big part of it.

The American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of activity a week to stay healthy. That’s about 22 minutes a day. The area offers a number of fun ways to use those minutes.

It came at a time to be grateful. And no one is more grateful for the completed renovations at the Red Bridge Shopping Center than the community that worked so hard over to see it.
